Strong Revit skills are essential for this role.
We require the applicant to have the right attitude and experience as well as blend in with the ethos of the company. Reporting to the Drafting Manager.
The responsibilities for the Draftsperson include:
Produce design drawings using Revit for master planning of estates, sited plans, working drawings, variations, council plans and final construction drawings.
Complete all drawings in accordance with design and construction details dictated by Building Code of Australia, local authority requirements and relevant planning requirements.
Make certain all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect Choice Homes standard.
Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of building materials, products, services, and processes in order to complete work confidently.
The successful candidate will have:
oTertiary qualifications in residential drafting, building design or similar.
oMinimum 2 years drafting experience within the high-volume residential building industry.
oCompetent and experienced with Revit in residential drafting (essential).
oA strong understanding of residential construction and the construction process.
oA thorough knowledge of building and planning regulations.
oExposure and competent use of BCA.
oThe ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines.
oImplement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
oIntermediate Microsoft computer skills (Word, Excel & Outlook).
