Each month, awards are presented in 11 categories. At the end of the year, all the monthly winners vie for annual awards in each category and compete for the Business of the Year Award honour at a black-tie Gala Awards Dinner to be held on 19th November at The Star Gold Coast.
Entries are due by 5:00pm on the 1st of each month from May to October inclusive. Where the 1st of the month falls on a weekend or a public holiday, entries will be due on the first working day after the weekend or public holiday.
The Emerging Business Award recognises Gold Coast businesses that have been operating between 2 and 5 years and are high growth potential with the capacity to achieve and manage expansion. Applicants for the Emerging Business category should highlight their innovative, unique and strong business practices and how these enhance the businesses continued growth.
The Gold Coast is Australia's micro-business capital. There are more than 46,000 micro businesses (fewer than 5 employees) based on the Gold Coast. The Micro Business category aims to recognise our incredible range of micro businesses that have been operating successfully on the Coast for years.
