Stage two of light rail progressing at lightning pace on the Gold Coast

Trams will be stopping at Helensvale by November, with passengers on board in January, after a dream run of construction on stage two of the Gold Cost light rail.

The first concrete track work has begun, following 10 months of intensive earth and civil works, which have carved challenging rock cuttings and built two bridges. Rail will be laid in the next three weeks.

GoldLinQ CEO Phil Mumford said the project was moving into its second phase from earthworks to a railway job.
