The Queensland government has announced changes to the first home owner grant. The changes will apply to eligible transactions between
20 November 2023 and 30 June 2025.
First home owners are expected to be able to apply for the increased grant from the first week of January 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for the $30,000 Grant includes:

• Aged 18 years or older.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Have not previously received a first home owner grant.
• Must not have owned a residential property in Australia.
• The existing first home buyers grant will continue to be capped at $15,000 in all other States and Territories.
